Custom NeoTF. About RCN Founded in february 2009
with the server originaly named Bad Ass Renegade and the
original group named [R.K.] Renegade Killers. Later on
down the road a few regulars mentioned to me most of the
members in [R.K] didn't play TFC or play on the server which
was about 90% of them and I couldnt agree more so I
desided to make a new group and server name. Renegade
Custom NeoTF became the new name base on a vote and to keep
the actual member count real and authentic, anyone one who
doent like the server or doesn't have TFC gets booted
out. Not too far after
that I've desided instead of just adding maps to the server,
Why not make them too? Hence the RCN maps and the map
productions come to no end keeping material fresh and
new. A while after that pro,
TFC players has complained about 2 things which. 1) Hook mod
which happens to be the most hated mod in TFC and 2) Being
able to upgrade MGs aka MultiGuns with on their own. So a vote
passed ruled in favor of full removal of those 2 features. But
that brew up an other problem. A lot of player tends to refuse
upgrading multiguns thus rule 13 was born. Reason behind rule
13 is because you cant upgrade on your own and Team mates
unwillingness to upgrade MGs, the MGs remain open for the
taking meaning and any team can capture them. Because of the
current NeoTF set up, Lack of team effort can and most
often will compromise your team as a whole. All it take
1-2 players with a self interest only sense of play to kill
the joy of a good NeoTF game. Even if you happen to
disagree with that as a reason to kick someone off, The
integrity of game play must be protected at all times
regardless of player count to prevent people with unfitting
playing methods becoming the furture player
base.
F.A.Q. Q: Why should team
effort be manditory? Not like theres league TFC games
anymore. A: That is true.
League games are no more. But it sounds you want the
principles of real team play to remain dead. Q: Why are
kicks made if the an action isnt against the server
rules? A: You think of
rule listings too much like a contract. An admin's job is to
keep all problems off the server and by "all" meaning not
limited to listed rules. It is not possible to list all
possible bad scenarios in advance, Also it would be too much
work to make such a list and who would honestly bother to dead
and remember a list that becomes too vast. And some situations
that have a fine line that devide acceptable and problem. Such
as trash name calling. There is no rule against being rude and
making insults but if you become to heavy with it the odds are
you might be crossing that fine line. Insults aren't against
the rules because some people actually deserve it. It also
your right to speak your mind but it must be closly monitored
because free speech is a dicey. If you dont think free speech
is dicey and can easily become a problem is the fine line is
crossed take protesting for example. Protesting can easily
turn into rioting if that fine is crossed. All it takes is 1
individual to set it off. Some situations can not be
predetermined and must be predetermined based on the moment
because they are dicey. And dicey situations has too many
varietal occasion that make the line crossed or not. This
mostly applies to social
